For Steve Gilliard

I did not know Steve Gilliard when I wrote it, but this song is very much for and very much about Mr. Steve Gilliard.

I first encountered Steve Gilliard's writing about 1 year ago. The force of Steve's writing struck me as that of Darcus Howe and Linton Kwesi Johnson. Strong, outspoken, sharply opinionated and severely well studied black men. I miss Steve Gilliard deeply.

Patrick Malia: Drums
Ted St. Pierre: Bass
Doug Watts: Organ, guitar, screaming.

Recorded at the Outlook, U.S. Route 2, Bethel, Maine.
